MY PRACTICE

When I'm not busy bringing my dreams to life, I can be found exploring the world around me, constantly seeking out new inspiration and ideas. My artistic practice uses creative mediums to create thought-provoking concepts, address societal issues, and inspire change. My inspiration comes from my experiences and my desire to see a better future for our local and global communities. I am motivated by the idea of different people and different mediums coming together under one vision to make a difference. I strive to create images that provoke contemplation and inspire action. My goal is to use art to tell stories that connect with people.

MY ETHICS

Deliberate Artistry
My commitment to ethical creative expression begins with the careful crafting of my work. I prioritise self-care by practising mindfully, ensuring that my art aligns with my individual needs and values.

Empathy and Sensitivity
My dedication extends to those I choose to depict or represent in my artistic endeavours. This commitment compels me to approach subjects with unwavering sensitivity and compassion, always respecting their right to decline participation. Extensive research and preparation are mandatory to avoid inadvertently causing offence when dealing with complex issues.

Proactive Harm Prevention
I acknowledge the potential for harm in my practice, both in the broader context and in specific instances. I am unwavering in my proactive approach to mitigating harm by adjusting my methods or refraining from proceeding when necessary.

Collaborative Engagement
My commitment extends to collaboration, recognising that true collaboration may involve empowering others to share their own narratives. I actively provide practical or institutional support to facilitate this process.

Evolving Ethics
I understand that ethical practice is a dynamic concept. My ethical approach continually evolves as I absorb new information and experiences, adapting to changing circumstances.

Open Discourse
I eagerly embrace discussions about the ethics of creative practice and my own ethical principles. I invite constructive conversations that enable me to deepen my understanding.

Self-Reflective Stance
I willingly subject my practice to self-evaluation, welcoming fair questions and challenges to my ethical conduct. This commitment signifies our dedication to ethical growth and continual improvement.
